Sarah Morgan was John Valentine's high school sweetheart, but while John was away she married Henry Morgan. 7 years ago she committed suicide, feeling out of touch with the world and unloved.

John has claimed that Hank's obsession with the Triangle, beginning 17 years ago, led Sarah to feel isolated.
